2024 BUDGET LALAGDAAN BAGO MAG-PASKO

Posibleng pirmahan na ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang P5.768 trilyon na national budget para sa fiscal year 2024 bago mag-Pasko.

Sa panayam, sinabi ng Pangulo na posible umano niyang pirmahan ang national budget ngunit kailangang umanong itanong sa bicom ang iskedyul nito.

 
“Malamang, oo. But, you should really ask the bicam to see what their schedule is. But yes, I think before Christmas,” sinabi ng Pangulo.

Aniya, naghihintay pa ito sa bicameral report sa 2024 national budget, na inaasahang makararating sa opisina niya sa mga susunod na araw.

Ngayong hapon ng Biyernes, Disyembre 15, ay lilipad si Marcos patungong Japan para dumalo sa ika-50 taon ng ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation.

“Wala pa yatang report ang bicam. We’re waiting for that. So, they’re putting the finishing touches on it. Baka today or the day — in the coming days. But certainly, the minute it is finalized then we will immediately, of course, pass the budget,” ani Marcos.

“We have been going through the consultations through the whole of the year for that matter and I would be very surprised if there are other issues that will suddenly arise that we hadn’t anticipated or hadn’t resolved, put it that way. So, I don’t see any problem to that,” dagdag pa niya.

Noong Disyembre 11 ay inaprubahan ng bicameral conference committee ang final version ng panukala na naglalaman ng P5.768 trillion national budget para sa 2024.

Sinabi ni Senate finance committee chairman Senator Sonny Angara na ang consolidated version ng 2024 General Appropriations Bill (GAB) ay walang inilaang confidential at intelligence funds (CIF) para sa non-security agencies.

Sa kabuuang proposed budget, sinabi pa ni Anara na nasa P9 bilyon o 0.02% ang nakalaan para sa CIF sa 2024.
