YEP, YEP! HOORAY! Inilusad sa Tarlac

INILUNSAD ng Department of Trade and Industry-Tarlac (DTI-Tarlac), kapartner ang Tarlac State University (TSU) at Micro Small and Medium Enterprises Development Council (MSMEDC) sa Tarlac ang Youth Entrepreneurship Program (YEP) sa lalawigan ng Tarlac noong Abril 30, 2021.

Layon ng YEP, na may tagline na “Harnessing Our Own Resources for the Advancement of the Youth” (Hooray), na tugunan ang young demographics sa bansa upang maging produktibong mga indibidwal sa pamamagitan ng entrepreneurship by means of comprehensive package of intervention. Ang public-private partnership na ito ay nakadirekta patungo  sa pagtulong sa kabataan para ipa-realize ang kanilang buong potensiyal upang maging isang matagumpay na mga negosyante.

Ayon kay DTI Tarlac Provincial Director Agnes B. Ramirez, noong 2015, isinabatas ang Youth Entreprenuership Act o RA 10679. Inatasan ng batas ang DTI at MSMED Council bilang responsableng mga ahensiya para isama ang youth entrepreneurship promotion sa national policies at programs bilang suporta sa MSME development, kaya isinilang ang YEP.

Sa kanyang mensahe sa paglulunsad, sinabi ni DTI-3 OIC Regional Director Leonila Baluyut na ang paggamit ng lakas ng kabataan ay isa sa reasonable strategies ng  pamahalaan dahil halos 30% ng populasyon ng bansa ay nasasailalim sa bracket ng kabataan.

  “We at the Department of Trade and Industry are seeking to harness the youth, their strengths, not as recipients but as active partners of the government and the private sector in building and rebuilding a better normal in the country,” dagdag niya.

“The YEP takes into account DTI’s 7Ms strategy for MSME development: Mindset Change, Mastery, Mentoring, Money, Machines, Market Access, and Models of Business.  The program has three components, namely, Youth Start – which aims to stir the entrepreneurial interests; Youth Net – for right network support, and Youth Match – for collaboration and access to resources,” wika pa niya.

Dumalo rin sa nasabing paglulunsad ang mga opisyal at staff ng Tarlac State University (TSU) na pinamumuan ng kanilang presidente na si Myrna Mallari, DBA: Philippine Chamber of Commerce Incorporated (PCCI) Tarlac President Leonardo Cudo at mga miyembro ng Tarlac MSMED Council na nagpahayag ng kanilang suporta sa nabanggit na programa. Sinelyuhan ng Ceremonial Signing of the Memorandum of Understanding ang partnership sa pagitan ng DTI at TSU,  Ibinigay ang initial learning session, Entrepreneurial Mind Setting Seminar, nina Paul John Lanot, President at CEO ng Pino Group of Concepts, Inc.

Dinaluhan ang YEP Launching ng nasa 400 participants mula sa youth sector. Sa kanyang closing remarks, hinimok niya ang mga participants na magpatulong o lumahok sa iba’t ibang organisasyon na nagpo-promote sa entrepreneurship sa lalawigan.
