TIIS MUNA SA PAPEL NA LISENSIYA – LTO

Nagkukulang na ang supply ng plastic cards para sa driver’s license, ayon sa hepe ng Land of Transportation Office (LTO) kaya papel muna ang maibibigay ng ahensiya sa mga motorista.

Ayon kay LTO chief Jose Arturo Tugade, pinag-aaralan nila ang paglalabas ng temporary driver’s license documents na naka-print sa likod ng official receipts bilang solusyon sa problema.

Nabanggit niya na may natitira na lang na 147,000 na driver’s license cards sa mga LTO offices sa buong bansa.

“Ang forecast ng LTO is completely mauubos iyong inventory on hand ng mga office by the last week of April,” ayon kay Tugade.

Sa Metro Manila, ilang tanggapan na ng LTO ang wala nang suplay nito.

“The solution is to use a temporary driver’s license document. We will be using paper for the temporary driver’s license. We will be printing the official receipt of the driver’s license. And on the official receipt of the driver’s license, there will be a unique QR code… That is one way for the law enforcers to validate whether or not the official receipt is legitimate and whether it is authentic,” paliwanag niya.

Ayon kay Tugade, maaring kuhanan ng photo ng mga driver’s license holder ang kanilang permits’ printout subalit tiyakin na malinaw na mai-scan QR code para sa beripikasyon.

Hindi naman makapagbigay ng timeline ang LTO kung kailan maibabalik sa normal ang pag-iisyu ng plastic card driver’s license dahil dadaan pa ito sa bidding.
