TENORIO NAGBABALIK; GINEBRA PINADAPA TERRAFIRMA DYIP

Malugod na tinanggap ng Barangay Ginebra Gin Kings ang pagbabalik ni LA Tenorio sa kanilang lineup matapos idomina ang 110-99 win laban sa Terrafirma Dyip sa PBA Commissioner’s Cup sa PhilSports Arena ngayong Disyembre 3.

Matapos ang 10 buwang pakikipagbuno sa Stage 3 colon cancer, tila wala pa ring kupas si Tenorio sa unang laro nito sa Gin Kings makaraang makapagtala ng 6 points sa 2-of-5 shooting, 1 rebound, 3 assists at isang streal sa loob ng 26 minuto bilang starter.

Si Tenorio, na idineklarang cancer-free na simula noong Disyembre, ay ibinuhos nito ang kanyang 6 points sa third quarter, ipinako ang kanyang three-point attempts mula sa right wing.

Perpect timing din ang pagbabalik ni Tenorio sa Gin Kings dahil wala si Scottie Thompson ng tatlong linggo dahil sa kanyang injury sa tuhod na natamo niya sa kanyang huling game laban Rain or Shine.

“It’s been an incredible journey for LA. We started with a bunch of tears and he just put his nose to the ground and just worked his way back,” ayon kay Ginebra head coach Tim Cone.

“We missed him, we missed his leadership. It was evident on the floor. We came out second half struggling a little bit against their zone and LA stepped up and made two big three-pointers to keep us moving.”
