TABLET BAWAT ESTUDYANTE ITUTULAK NI LEGARDA

Batid ni Senator Loren Legarada ang kahalagahan ng pagbibigay ng dekalidad na edukasyon para sa lahat ng estudyanteng Pinoy at tulungan sila na malampasan ang hamon na dala ng COVID-19 pandemic kaya’t ihain niya ang Senate Bill 1 o ang panukalang “One Tablet, One Student Act of 2022”.

Layon ng panukala na bigyan ang lahat ng mga mag-aaral sa elementary at secondary level sa pampublikong paaralan, gayundin ang mga naka-enroll sa State Universities and Colleges (SUCs),  ng tablet para makatulong sa kanila na ma-adpat ang online learning system na ipinatupad ng Department of Education (DepEd) simula taong 2020 dulot ng kasalukuyang health crisis.

“By giving the students their much-needed device for learning, they would be able to participate effectively in their classes, and thus, we give them the opportunity to acquire more knowledge and become skilled after they graduate,” saad ng nagbabalik na senador.

“It is one way of making quality education accessible to all, especially to those who cannot afford to buy their own gadgets,”  dagdag pa nito.

Sinabi rin ni Legarda, ang mga estudyante na mayroon ng learning gadgets ay dapat bigyan ng internet allowance para punan ang gastos sa koneksiyon nito.

Ang DepED at Commission on Higher Education (CHED) ang siyang aatasang magpatupad ng programa, tukuyin ang mga kuwalipikadong estudyante, gumawa ng ng epektibong distribution sistema at magbalangkas na panuntunan sa paggamit, maintenance at accountability para sa tablet.

Sa ilalim pa ng panukala, ang DepEd at CHED, sa pakikipagtulungan ng local government units , Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), ang magpapakalat ng implementing rules and regulations (IRR) para sa epektibong pagpapatupad ng program.

Habang inihayag na ng DepEd ang implementasyon ng full face-to-face classes sa Nobyembre, binigyang-diin ni Legarda na ang kahalagahan ng “One Tablet, One Student” program sa mga mag-aaral lalo na’t tumataas muli ang kaso ng Covid-19 sa bansa.

“The pandemic is not yet over. With the current trend in COVID-19 cases in our country and as new variants of the virus continue to emerge, we cannot guarantee that we will no longer need to revert to online learning. So, we are pushing for this bill in the Senate,” punto ni Legarda.
