Robredo camp masaya sa naging desisyon ng PET: “Matagal nang talo si Marcos”

UMAASA ang kampo ni Vice President Leni Robredo na paninindigan ng Supreme Court, bilang Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET), ang desisyon nito sa election protest ni dating Sen. Bongbong Marcos.

Nitong araw nang atasan ng PET ang Commission on Elections (Comelec) at Office of the Solicitor General na maghain ng komento sa mga nakabinbin pang issues ng naturang protesta.

 “The camp of Vice President Leni Robredo welcomes the latest Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET) order as this will help fast-track the resolution of the election protest,” ani Atty. Beng Sardillo.

“We will comply with the High Tribunal’s order and wait for the comments of the Comelec and the Solicitor General on the pending matters.”

Magugunitang 263,473 ang lamang ni Robredo kay Marcos sa pagtatapos ng bilangan ng mga balota noong 2016 elections.

Pero nang muling dumaan sa bilangan ang mga balota sa ilalim ng electoral protest, umangat pa sa 278,566 ang lead ng nanalong bise presidente.

“We fully believe that the High Tribunal will uphold Vice President Leni Robredo’s victory as seen in the 2016 results and in the recount of ballots.”

Binigyang diin ng abogado ni Robredo na sa ilalim ng panuntunan ng electoral tribunals, mandato ang agarang pagbasura sa election protest na bigong makapagpalutang ng recovery.

“Dalawang beses nang nanalo sa bilang si VP Leni. Matagal nang tapos ang boksing. Matagal nang talo si Marcos. Tapusin na natin ito.”

Noong Pebrero ng 2018 nang magsimula ang PET sa manual recount ng mga balota mula sa napiling pilot provinces nina Robredo at Marcos.
