QUEZON CITY AT DALY CITY MULING NI-RENEW ANG SISTER AGREEMENT

Muling ni-renew ng lokal na pamahalaan ng Quezon City ang sister city agreement nito sa Daly City sa California.

Sa inilabas na statement, sinabi ni Mayor Joy Belmonte na ang nasabing renewal ng partnership ay isang reaffirmation ng commitment ng dalawang lungsod na itaguyod ang cultural, economic at educational exchanges.

“We look forward to continue strengthening this fruitful partnership and collaboration which highlights our shared values and aspirations,” saad ng alkalde.

“Together, we will promote our rich cultures and shared heritage, and cooperate towards economic and social development,” dagdag ni Belmonte.

Ayon sa press statement ng Daly City, binuo ang sister city relationship nito sa Quezon City noong Agosto  8, 1994, upang pagyamanin ang kulturang Filipino, upang hikayatin ang integrasyon ng mga Pilipinong residente ng Daly City sa buhay sibiko ng lungsod at i-encourage ang trade and commerce.

“Daly City continues to share the importance of Filipino civic involvement for the progression of our communities and cultures,” ayon kay City Mayor Raymond Buenaventura.

“We have long known that the key to economic and cultural growth is the support of our diverse communities. We continue the effort to keep Filipino Americans engaged in our community through the celebration of our culture and connections to the Philippines, and we welcome the delegation to our city,” dagdag nito.

Sinabi ni Daly City Vice Mayor Juslyn Manalo na ang sister city partnership ay isang natatanging pagkakataon upang maitaguyod ang ibinahaging kultura sa loob ng dalawang komunidad ng Pilipino sa labas ng Estados Unidos.

“I am proud to continue this tradition of global partnership for the prosperity of both cities, highlight civic opportunities, celebrate generations of Filipino culture in Daly City, and recognize the presence of Filipino culture across countries,” dagdag niya.


Isang delegasyon mula sa Quezon City ang tatanggap ng susi sa lungsod sa sister city renewal signing ceremony ngayong araw sa Daly City Hall Council Chamber.
