IBINAWAL na ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) ang mga politiko at anumang materyales na may mukha at pangalan nila sa pamamahagi ng Ayuda sa Kapos ang Kita Program (AKAP).
Ayon sa AKAP guidelines na ibinahagi sa media nitong Miyerkules, patuloy na mkikipagtulungan ang DSWD sa local at national stakeholders upang maiwasan na maabuso o magamit ang DSWD partikular ang pondo nito sa pamumulitika.
“During the offsite implementation of the program, the DSWD will strictly prohibit: the display or distribution of posters, banners, or any materials that link any politicians to the AKAP as well as the presence of any politicians during the conduct of actual distribution of financial assistance under the AKAP,” mababasa sa guidelines.
Isinumite ng DSWD, Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), at National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) ang Joint Memorandum Circular No. 2025-01 o ang implementing rules ng AKAP program sa Commission on Elections (Comelec) nitong Martes, Marso 4.
Ang AKAP ay isang programa ng DSWD na nagbibigay ng tulong pinansiyal sa mga pamilyang nangangailangan, lalo na sa mga may kapos na kita.
Kabilang sa ipinagkakaloob ng programa ang rice assistance, food assistance, medical assistance, funeral assistance, and cash relief assistance sa mga benepisyaryo.
