PITMASTER FOUNDATION WAGI SA STEVIE AWARD SA COVID-19 INITIATIVES

WAGI ang Pitmaster Foundation, sa pamumuno ni Chairman Charlie “Atong” Ang, bilang Most Valuable Non-Profit Response sa ilalim ng COVID-19 Response Category sa ginanap na 2022 Stevie Awards nitong kamakailan lang sa Caesars Palace sa Las Vegas.

Pinuri ni An gang Stevie Award organizations dahil sa pagkilala sa kanilang pagsisiskap upang tulungan ang mga komunidad nang manalasa ang pandemya.

 “I am grateful to the Stevie Award for believing in our work. Our energy at the foundation is recharged and we are inspired knowing that our efforts and dedication are acknowledged by a reputable global award giving body like Stevie Award. This is validation of our mission of doing something good to alleviate the lives of Filipinos in times of need,” wika ni Ang

Layon ng Stevie Award na parangalan ang mga naiambag ng mga organisasyon at propesyonal sa buong mundo. Inihayag ni Ang na malaking bagay ang e-sabong dahil sa maraming pamilya at buhay sa sabong industry sa bansa ang naapektuhan ng lockdown.

“The origin of e-sabong was to really help the people who lost their livelihoods because of COVID-19 by giving them employment opportunities and helping families and communities at the same time,” dagdag niya.

Nangako naman si Ang na tutuparin ng Pitmaster Foundation ang kanilang misyon sa pagbibigay ng tulong sa mga nangangailangan kahit wala ang e-sabong.

 “We will continue to help others because that’s my personal mission. We hope to revive the on-ground cockfighting industry, given the lifting of restrictions so that we can provide employment and small businesses to the people.”

Nitong 2020, nakapag-donate ang Pitmaster Foundation ng halos P1 bilyon bilang tulong sa dialysis at COVID-19, kabilang ang 31,000 doses of vaccines, 161 ambulansiya ypang suportahan ang health care upang itaguyod ang komunidad, salaries para sa frontline staff, vaccine freezers, health care kits, COVID-19 medications, 272,000 antigen test kits at  face masks.

Nagsagawa rin kamakailan ang foundation ng tree planting upang itagyod ang climate change initiatives at climate justice.
