PHL cyclists balik- podium na sa SEAGames road race

BINUBUO ng national road team (mula kaliwa) nina Jonel Carcueva, Nichol Pareja Rench Michael Bondoc, Marcelo Felipe, Mark Lexer Galedo, Jhon Mark Camingao, Mar Francis Sudario, Ronald Oranza, Avegail Rombaon, Jermyn Prado, Kate Yasmin Velasco, Mathilda Krog, Maura de los Reyes and Mhay Ann Linda.

KASING-kinang na rin ng ginto ang aning medalya ng sikĺistang Pinoy na hudyat ng komprehensibong pag-sulong ng larangan partikular sa kanilang  podium- finish sa cycling event ng 32nd Southeast Asian Games Cambodia 2023 sa Siem Reap.

  Patunay ito ng 2 bronze medals sa men’s road race na dating hirap masungkit ng Ph cyclists sa naturang biennial meet.

“It’s an improvement,” pahayag ni Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) President Rep. Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino, na siya ring pinuno  national federation para sa  sport na  PhilCycling. “They’re little yet significant accomplishments in a cycling discipline that’s never easy at all.”

  Ang reporma sa  PhilCycling road organization ay nagsimula nang magbunga tungong tagumpay—mula  coaching staff at national team composition ay ni- revamp noong Pebrero

Pinedal ni Ronald Oranza ang bronze medals sa criterium at road race kung saan ang riders ng apat sa anim na kalahok  na bansa ang dating naga-agawan sa medalya —Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia at Vietnam sa bawat kategorya.

“Hard work and focus, and more importantly, it’s the motivation that the riders projected from their selection to the national team in February to the month-long training camp in April,” wika ni  Reinhard Gorantes na kabilang sa road coaching staff nina Virgilio Espiritu,Alfie Catalan,Marita Lucas at Gerald Valdez.

Sa larangan ng mountain bike ay nakopo ni Ariana Evangelista ang silver sa  women’s crosscountry eliminator at katuwang sina  Shagne Yaoyao, RJ Flores at Jerico Rivera para sa bronze medals sa mixed events.
