PAGBAWI NG SUPORTA NG MILITAR KAY DUTERTE, FAKE NEWS! – AFP, DND

TINAWAG ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) at Department of National Defense (DND) na “fake news” ang kumakalat na post sa online na sinasabing binawi ng military officers ang suporta nito kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte kaugnay sa militarization ng Chinsese sa West Philippine Sea.

Sa magkahiwalay na pahayag nitong Linggo, itinanggi nina AFP chief of staff Lieutenant General Cirilito Sobejana at DND Secretary Delfin Lorenzana na mayroong Viber group kung saan kasali ang 500 aktibo at retiradong militar na may plano umanong bawiin ang kanilang suporta sa kanilang Commander-in-Chief.

“We assure our people that your soldiers, airmen, sailors, and marines are firmly behind the chain of command,” ayon sa pahayag ni  Sobejana.

“And if in the future they will actually create such a group, (Sobejana) disavows the presence or association of officers and enlisted personnel to a group of such mindset,” dagdag pa nito.

Sinabi rin ni Lorenzana na hindi kailanman naging bahagi ang mga opisyal ng DND sa nasabing grupo.



“We denounce the irresponsible propaganda being propagated in online posts alleging that a group of retired and active military officers are withdrawing their support for the President. This is fake news!”  ayon sa DND Secretary.

Nitong nakaraang linggo, isang Twitter acoount na may pangalang Info Ops ang nag-post kaugnay sa umano’y Viber group na binubuo ng mga opisyales ng militar na nagde-demand kay Duterte na tumindig laban sa China. Kung hindi ay ititigil nila ang pagsuporta nito sa kanya.
