Aabot sa P8 milyong halaga ng smuggled na sigarilyo ang nasabat ng mga tauhan ng Bureau of Customs sa Zamboanga City.
Ayon kay Customs Commissioner Yogi Filemon Ruiz, nagsagawa ng anti-smuggling operation ang mga tauhan ng Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service (CIIS), Enforcement and Security Service-Customs Police Division (ESS-CPD), Regional Special Operating Group (RSOG), CIU-Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO), at Police Station 11 (PS11) sa Zamboanga Port.
Nasa 207 na 207 master cases ng sigarilyo na may brand na “ARTHUR” ang nasabat na sakay sa puting elf van na bumibiyahe na sa Brgy. Baliwasan sa Zamboanga City.
Nasa kostudiya na ngayon ng BOC ang mga nasabat na sigarilyo dahil sa paglabag sa Section 1113 (a) at Section 117 ng Republic Act No. 10863, o Customs Modernization and Tariff Act of 2016, in relation to the Tobacco Exportation and Importation Rules and Regulations.
