Ininspeksyon ng Bureau of Customs (BOC) ang isang warehouse sa Imus, Cavite kung saan natagpuan ang P150 milyon halaga ng pekeng damit, appliances at general merchandise.
Armado ng Letter of Authority (LOA) na may lagda ni Customs Commissioner Yogi Filemon Ruiz, tumuloy ang team ng Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service-Manila International Container Port (CIIS-MICP) at ESS-QRT sa Hong Yun Real Estate Group, Inc. sa M. Salud Road, Alapan II-A, Imus, Cavite, upang siyasatin ang laman ng bodega.
“The implementation of this operation comes with reinforcement from different departments. It was also made possible by coordination with the police and local barangay officials. This is what it means to work with one goal in mind, which is to put a stop to this menace,” saad ni Ruiz.
“From top to bottom, we are united in our aim to see our markets free from these contrabands as well smuggled fake products,” dagdag pa ng opisyal.
Sa tulong ng Philippine National Police (PNP) at lokal na mga opisyal ng barangay ay natunton nila ang warehouse kung saan nadiskubre nila ang ready-to-wear garments na may tatak tulad ng, Dickies, Mossimo, Bench, Levi’s, Puma, Fila, Mickey Mouse, Hello Kitty, at iba pa, tulad ng appliances at general merchandise.
Pagkatapos ng inspeksyon, ang mga nakatalagang customs examiners ay nagsagawa ng imbentaryo ng mga pekeng kagamitan na nadiskubre sa bodega.
