Apat na buwan simula ngayon, inaasahan na maraming magsasaka sa Butig, Lanao del Sur ang makikinabang sa P10 milyon solar-powered irrigation system (SPIS).
Kasalukuyan nang isinasakatuparan ang naturang proyekto sa pamamagitan ng joint partnership ng Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Agrarian Reform – Bagsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (MAFAR – BARMM) at Task Force Bangon Marawi (TFBM).
Ayon kay MAFAR-BARMM Minister Mohammad Yacob, ang nasabing inisyatibo ay tinustusan sa ilalim ng Bangon Marawi Rehabilation, Reconstruction and Reconciliation Project Fund of 2020.
“The SPIS is expected to increase rice production at 40 hectares of rain-fed rice farms in the villages of Cabasaran, Dulangan, and Sundig in Butig,” saad niya.
Nitong weekend, pinangunahan ni Yacob kasama si Deputy Chief Minister Aleem Ali Solaiman at TFBM Rerpresentative Johary Lumna, at iba pang lokal na opisyal ang groundbreaking ceremony sa Butig.
Ayon kay Yacob, bahagi ng mandato na isinagawa ng MAFAR ay upang mapalapit ang pamahalaan sa Bangsamoro community.
“The regional government wants to deliver services and protect farmers and fisherfolk, and through this project, farmers will be more inspired, and idler lands will be utilized,” saad bniya.
Samantala, sinabi ni Solaiman na ang SPIS ay isang kasalukuyan most appropriate moden farming technique na kinakailangan sa munisipalidad.
“We can assist with farm inputs and other agriculture interventions like provision of machinery, but upon consultation, what they need the most is a water irrigation system,” ayon kay Solaiman.
“If acted upon, it would be a great help for our farmers in Butig and the rest of Lanao del Sur,” dagdag ni Solaiman.
Ang Greenergy Corporation, isang dalubhasa sa green renewable energy projects, ang gagawa ng estratehiya sa pagpapatayo ng SPIS sa loob ng susunod na 120 araw.
