OT PAY SA TEACHERS NA NAGTRABAHO SA BSKE TABLADO  SA COMELEC

HINDI magbibigay ng dagdag na bayad ang Commission on Elections (Comelec) sa mga guro na nag-overtime noong 2023 barangay at Sangguniang Kabataan Elections.

“In as much as we would like to give, there is this joint circular between the Commission on Audit and the Department of Budget and Management, which provides that only employees of an agency are entitled to claim overtime,” paliwanag ng Comelec Chairman George Garcia. “The teachers who served as electoral board members are not employees of Comelec. Moreover, the budget provided to us did not provide for such an item,” dagdag niya.

Sumulat ang progresibong guro na Teachers’ Dignity Coalition (TDC) kay Garcia para hilingin sa poll body ng bigyan ng overtime pay ang mga guro na nagsilbi noong eleksyon ng higit sa isang araw.
