NAVOTAS, PSA PUMIRMA SA MOA PARA SA 2024 POPCEN-CBMS

ANG Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Navotas at Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) ay opisyal na ginawa ang kanilang partnership kasunod ng paglagda sa isang memorandum of agreement (MOA) sa pagsasagawa ng 2024 Census of Population and Community-Based Monitoring System CBMS (POPCEN-CBMS).

Pinirmahan ni Mayor John Rey Tiangco, kasama si Paciano Dizon, Regional Director ng Regional Statistical Services Office – National Capital Region (NCR); Cynthia Laxina, Supervising Statistical Specialist at Officer-in-Charge ng Provincial Statistical Office – NCR IV; at si Engr. Rufino Serrano, Navotas City Planning and Development Officer, ang kasunduan noong Lunes.

“This year’s census will provide us with factual insights into the current status of our city’s population. These are essential in our efforts to deliver high-quality projects, programs, activities, and services to our fellow Navoteños,” ani Tiangco.

Sa ilalim ng MOA, ipapatupad at pangasiwaan ng PSA ang pangongolekta ng statistical data at geotagging ng mga gusali ng sambahayan sa Navotas.

Ang pagkapribado ng mga indibidwal at pamilyang kalahok sa aktibidad na ito ay mapangangalagaan, dahil titiyakin ng PSA na ang lahat ng nakolektang impormasyon ay mananatiling ligtas at kumpidensyal.

Pangungunahan din ng ahensya ang recruitment at pagsasanay ng mga tauhan na magsasagawa ng census at community-based monitoring system, at magbibigay ng mga kinakailangang supply, materyales at kagamitan para sa parehong layunin.

Ang Navotas, sa kabilang banda, ay magagarantiya sa maayos na operasyon ng programa sa pamamagitan ng pagbibigay ng sapat na pondo, legal na dokumentasyon, at iba pang kinakailangang suporta.

Isang Data Protection Officer, City Statistician, at POPCEN-CBMS Focal Person ang itatalaga upang matiyak ang maayos na koordinasyon sa pagitan ng lungsod at ng PSA.

Ang mga piling empleyado mula sa 18 barangay ng lungsod ay magiging deputized din para tumulong sa grassroots communication, data gathering, at verification.
