NAVOTAS NAMAHAGI NG CHRISTMAS HAMS SA 89K PAMILYA

Para tulungang mas maging masaya ang Pasko sa gitna ng pandemya, sinimulan ng Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Navotas ang pamamahagi ng mga hams sa 89,650 na pamilyang Navoteño.

Ang teams ng mga empleyado ng lokal na pamahalaan ay na-deploy upang maghatid ng mga ham sa bawat beneficiary ng pamilya.

“This year has been challenging for all of us. We hope our humble gift will remind us that despite the hardships we endure, there is always something to celebrate–we are still alive, and we still have our family and friends with us,” ani Mayor Toby Tiangco.

“While we need to forgo some traditions, we can still celebrate Christmas in the safety of our homes. We can hold virtual parties or call those we have been meaning to catch up with,” dagdag niya.

Ipinaalala ni Tiangco na sa gitna ng kasiyahan, ang Navoteños ay dapat manatiling mapagbantay at mag-ingat.

 “We cannot put our guard down. We need to continue our safety protocols: proper wearing of face mask and face shield, following the 1-2 meter physical distancing, constant washing of hands, and others,” aniya.

“Health experts said COVID cases in Metro Manila are on the rise. Let us help prevent this from happening in our city and keep our Christmas safe and COVID-free,” pagtatapos niya.
