SA anim na mgkakasunod na taon, nakakuha ang Pamamahalang Lungsod ng Navotas ang pinakamaatas na audit rating mula sa Commission on Audit (COA).
Ibinigay ng COA ang “unmodified opinion” sa presentation ng lungsod 2020 ng financial statements.
Ang Navotas ay nakatanggap ng parehong rating mula pa noong 2016, ang nag-iisang lokal na pamahalaan sa Metro Manila na mayroong naturang record.
Pinuri ni Mayor Toby Tiangco ang depertment og heads at mga empleyado ng pamahalaang lungsod na gumanap nang maayos sa kanilang tungkulin, sa kabila unconventional workingconditions na dala ng coronavirus pandemic.
“The pandemic has forced us to realign most of our funds for COVID response. It was difficult to let go of some planned projects and programs, but we had to prioritize spending on personal protective equipment, relief packs, cash assistance, and other urgent needs,” pahayag niya.
“We had to optimize the use of our meager budget and make sure that we spend our people’s taxes judiciously. Getting the highest COA rating, for six years now, is but an icing on the cake. Our focus remains on giving the best service we could give to every Navoteño,” aniya.
Nagbibigay ang COA ng isang “unmodified opinion” sa public institution na nagpakita ng financial position, financial performance at cash flows sa isang patas na pamamaraan alinsunod sa Philippine Public Sector Accounting Standards.
