“Ideally we would like to fill in all the titles but we still have to talk about the possibility because this is the first time our federation will join the SEA games on a non-hosting capacity. Before when we hosted it, we had the advantage. But now we have to look at all kinds of factors like expense of flying,” ayon kay Philippine Esports Organization Deputy Secretary-General Joebert Yu.
Kabilang ang sikat na online game sa bansa sa walong esports event na kasama sa biennial sports meet ngayong taon, ayon sa Vietnam Recreation and Electronic Sports Association.
Bukod sa Mobile Legends, kasama sa listahan ng 2021 SEA Games ang Arena of Valor, PUBG Mobile, Free Fire, League of Legends, FIFA Online 4 CrossFire at Raid.
Naiuwi ng Pilipinas ang gintong medalya sa Mobile Legends noong 2019 SEA Games.
Nitong nakaraang Enero, nasungkit din ng Bren Esports, isang propesyunal na Filipino team, ang Mobile Legends: Bang Bang M2 World Championship.
Gaganapin ang 2021 SEA Games sa Vietnam sa Nobyembre 21 hanggang Disyembre 2.
