“We want to encourage all LGUs to support the implementation of the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) and bolster the government’s efforts to fight hunger,” pahayag ni Tiangco.
“We cannot overestimate how LGUs play a crucial role in implementing programs towards zero hunger, food and nutrition security, and sustainable agriculture. Together with partner organizations, our united effort will ensure that no Filipino will go hungry,” dagdag niya.
“Through EPAHP, the government can provide credit and insurance assistance and directly connect community-based organizations (CBOs) to government feeding programs,” ani kongresista.
“As of May 2024, this initiative has generated more than P200 million worth of sales and contracts between 122 CBOs and government feeding programs. We are confident that with proper LGU support, we can do more in the coming months,” dagdag pa niya.
“President Marcos wants the necessary framework in place to ensure the effective implementation of all the measures under EPAHP. Quarterly monitoring and evaluation of the program will also be done to regularly check if resources are being used for activities that will achieve EPAHP’s intended goals,” pagtatapos na pahayag ng mambabatas.
