Kinukuha si Majoy Baron ng F2 Logistics Cargo Movers bilang import sa isang liga sa Taiwan. Ito’y bunsod ng pag-atras ng team sa Open Conference ng Premier Volleyball League sa Ilocos Norte.
Nakatakdang magsimula ang PVL bilang pro league sa July 17. Pero, nakagugulat na nag-begged-off ang F2 Logistics. Kasunod naman nito ang revelation ng offer kay Baron ng Top Speed sa Taiwan.
Kinumpirma ng manager ni Major na si Suki Salvador ang offer. Pero, naudlot ito dahil sa COVID-19 pandemic.
“Yes, Majoy has received an offer to play in Taiwan for Top Speed. However, the conference she was invited to was postponed, due to rising COVID-19 cases in Taiwan.“
“The tournament has yet to be rescheduled,” ani Salvador sa isang panayam. Ang maganda rito, may basbas ng F2 at ng national team ang paglalaro kung papayag si Baron.
“We accepted the offer after getting the nod of F2 Logistics and PNVF. However, just when we were about to begin the processing of her papers, the country went into lockdown,”aniya.
Si Baron ay isa sa mahuhusay na spiker at middle blocker ng volleyball. Siya’y produkto ng DLSU Lady Spikers. Nakapaglaro na rin sa national team noong SEA Games.
Noong nasa PSL pa ang Cargo Movers, kasama si Baron sa 2016 at 2019 championship reign ng team sa All Filipino Conference.
