LORENZANA ITINANGGI MAY ALITAN SILA NI PDU30 DAHIL SA CHINA

Sa pambihirang pagkakataon, naglabas si Defense Sec. Delfin Lorenzana ng isang video sa Facebook para sabihin sa publiko na walang nangyaring sigalot sa pagitan nila ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte dahil sa China, bagkus iginiit nito na pareho sila ng paninindigan ng Punong Ehuktibo.

Matapang din na nagsalita ang retired Army General  laban sa China para sabihan ang mga ito na alisin na ang kanilang mga barko sa reefs na sakop ng Philippine exclusive economic zone.

Matatandaan na kamakailan lang ay sinabi ni Duterte na mayroon tayong utang na loob sa Beijing dahil sa mga bakuna, pero hindi niya ipinagkanulo ang soberanya ng Pilipinas.

Nito ring Linggo, iniulat ng Chinese state media na nasa South China Sea na ang kanilang aircraft carrier na Shandong para sa “sovereignty drills.”

Pero iginiit naman ni Lorenzana na magpapatuloy ang maritime patrols ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) at Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) sa West Philippine Sea at Kalayaan Island Group.

“Walang alisan,” matapang niyang sambit.

“President Duterte’s orders to us have been very clear, firm and straightforward. Defend what is rightfully ours without going to war and maintain the peace in the seas. Yung nagsasabi na hindi kami aligned ng Presidente, let me clarify that my pronouncement echo the stand of our presidente,”  ayon sa kanyang Facebook video.

“For our long standing and mulfi-faceted relationship with China, we maintain cooperation in various areas that are mutually beneficial to our peoples. We can be cordial and cooperative with our nations but not at the expense of our sovereignty and sovereign rights. I repeat: not at the expense of our sovereignty and sovereign rights,” wika ni Lorenzana.

“While we acknowledge that China’s military capability is more advance than ours, this does not prevent us from defending our national interests and our dignity as a people with all that we have,”  saad niya.
