Llyamado sa POC election | CARRASCO NA BILANG CHAIRMAN!

KAPAG performance at karanasan ang pagbabasehan, hindi mahihigitan o mapantayan man lang ng kanyang karibal ang napatunayan na ni Tom Carrasco, Jr. – ang pangulo ng Triathlon Association of the Philippines (TRAP) .

Si Carrasco ay lasalukuyang aspirante bilang chairman ng Philippine Olympic Committee para sa nakatakdang POC election sa Nobyembre 27, 2020 sa tiket ni POC president re-electionist Cong. Abraham ‘Bambol’ Tolentino.

Makatutunggali ni Carrasco sa elective position si Steve Hontiveros ng Handball na maituturing nang isang  no-match dahil sa mas angat at komprehensibong performance bilang sports leader na nagpaangat sa estado ng Olympic sport na triathlon sa bansa sa international competitions.

Markado rin ang nagawa ni Carrasco bilang chairman ng naturang NOC sa timon naman ni POC president Peping Cojuangco partikular sa aspeto ng result-oriented at ‘transparency’.   

Bilang pangulo ng triathlon sa Pilipinas, sa kanyang kumpas dinomina ng Pinoy triathletes ang nakaraang tatlong edisyon ng Southeast Asian Games tampok ang 1-2 sweep ng men and women’s division ng sport noong nakaraang December hosting ng 30th Southeast Asian Games Philippines 2019.

Bago ang naturang biennial meet na nag-overall champion ang Pilipinas ay isa si Carrasco sa gumanap sa pangunahing papel sa Philippine Southeast Asian Games Organizing Committee (PHISGOC) sa liderato ni Speaker Allan Peter Cayetano na nagresulta ng golden performance ng Team Philippines sa timon naman ni POC president ‘Bambol’ Tolentino at kalinga ng Philippine Sports Commission ni Chairman William Ramirez kakapit-bisig si Senate Sports Committee head Senator Bong Go sa direktiba ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte para sa battlecry na ‘WIN AS ONE!

Si Carrasco ay pinagpipitagan at kinikilalang opisyal ng triathlon sa Asian mula sa world governing body na International Triathlon Union (ITU).

Karibal ni Carrasco sa chairmanship post ang re-eleksiyonista ring si Steve Hontiveros ng inactive  national sports association (NSA) na Handball Philippine na zero performance mula nang itatag ito sa panahon ni Cojuangco.

Bukod kay Carrasco nasa winning tiket ni incumbent POC president Tolentino sina Al Penlilio ng Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas para First Vice President, Second Vice President naman si Ormoc City Mayor Richard Gomez ng Fencing Association of the Philippines,

Kandidato para Treasurer si Cynthia Carrion ng Gymnastics Association of the Philippines, at para Auditor si Chito Loyzaga ng Philippine Amateur Baseball Association.

Director  ang tinatakbuhan nina Pearl Managuelod ng MuayThai Association of the Philippines, Dave Carter ng Philippine Judo Federation, Dr. George Canlas ng United Philippine Surfing at Prospero Pichay ng National Chess Federation of the Philippines.    

“Hopefully this ticket will be the new POC for the new normal, I have a lot of innovations in mind in the event we are elected,” paniyak ni Cong Tolentino ng 8th District-Cavite at pangulo din ng Phil Cycling.
