Landbank’s outstanding cooperatives, MSMEs, financial institutions, corporations, at mga magsasaka, binigyang pagkilala

BINIGYANG pagkilala ni Finance Secretary Ralph Recto ang Landbank of the Philippines (LANDBANK)’s outstanding cooperatives, micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), financial institutions, mga korporasyon at mga magsasaka bilang strong partners sa pagpapalaganap ng economic growth at national development sa buong bansa.

“The success stories of our awardees every year mirror the potential of our nation. It illustrates how far we can progress when we commit to being each other’s steadfast partners in development,” aniya sa kanyang talumpati sa awarding ceremony kahapon.

Kinikilala ng taunang Models of Excellence Recognition Initiative para sa Top Bank Clients (MERIT) Program ang high performing clients ng LANDBANK na naging modelo ng kahusayan, nakapag-ambag  sa financial development at napanatili ang productive relationships sa Bank.

Ngayon taon, pinarangalan ng LANDBANK ang 14 MERIT awardees na binubuo ng agri at non-agri cooperatives, agri at non-agri enterprises, MSMEs, malalaking korporasyon, financial instututions at mga magsasaka.

Pinuri ng Finance Chief ang mga awardess sa ilalim ng Gawad sa Pinakatanging Kooperatiba (GAWAD PITAK) Program – ang Alicia Neighborhood Multi-Purpose Cooperative; ang Sorosoro Ibaba Developmentg Cooperative; ang Ating Ani Nueva Ecija Multi-Purpose Cooperative; at Ligas Kooperatiba ng Bayan sa Pagpapaunlad.

“These outstanding cooperatives are among the country’s main poverty-fighting forces. They have been supporting the future of our farmers, fisherfolks, and local communities so they can start their own business, sustain livelihoods, and boost their capacity to ensure the nation’s food security and prosperity,” aniya.

Kinilala rin ni Secretary Recto ang mahalagang papel na ginagampanan ng financial institutions sa pagtataguyod ng bansa.

Ang mga awardess sa ilalim ng Gawad Partner Financial Institution (Gawad PFI) Program ay ang ProFarmers Rural Banking Corporation; ang Producers Savings Bank Corporation; at ang ASA Philippines Foundation.

“[They were] able to bring in much-needed financial support to our microentrepreneurs even in the remotest and most underserved areas of the country, mula Luzon, Visayas, at Mindanao,” saad niya.

Para sa Gawad Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (Gawad MSME) Program, pinasalamatan ni Secretary Recto si Fralyn B. Cruz at Sandig Medical Clinic and Hospital dahil sa pagiging bayani sa pagtitiyak ng sapat na supply ng pagkain sa Luzon at pagpapalawak ng acess sa reliable health care para sa mga mamamayan ng Sultan Kudarat.

Kinilala rin ni Secretary Recto ang malalaking korporasyon na siyang nagsusulong sa bansa sa pamamagitan ng pagpapatayo ng high-quality infrastructure at pagpapanatili sa waste management, gayundin sa paglikha ng isang henerasyon ng mga Filipino na empowered at financially-independent.

Ito ay ang  Asialink Finance Corporation; DoubleDragon Corporation; and Soliman E.C. Septic Tank Disposal sa ialalim ng Gawad Korporasyon na KAagapay sa Ating GAnap na tagumPAY (Gawad KAAGAPAY) Program.

Nagbigay-pugay din ang Finance Chief sa mga magsasaka sa ilalim ng Ulirang Magsasaka Program na pundasyon ng bansa at dahilan para mapanatili ang food security ng Pilipinas.

“Isang karangalan po na makilala ang ating mga ulirang magsasaka na sina: Mr. Deodany L. Cara at Mr. Roderick G. Capalongan. They are visionaries who see challenges as opportunities, paving the way for a new generation of Filipino farmers who embrace innovation, sustainability, and financial responsibility,” wika niya.

“We must always remember that in every grain of rice, every vegetable, and every fruit, there is a story of Mr. Cara, Mr. Capalongan, and thousands of Filipino farmers whose hard work and sacrifice secure the future of every Filipino,”  dagdag pa ni Secretary Recto.

Kaugnay nito, patuloy pinapalawak ng Land Bank ang presensiya nito sa mga lugar sa buong bansa, habang pinabibilis ang digitalization ng kanilang serbisyo upang maabot ang maraming unbanked at underprivileged na mga Filipino.

Bukod dito, pinalawak din ng bangko ang kanilang lending support sa iba’t ibang sektor, partikular sa agrikultura at rural development, upang maihatid ang pinakamalaking benepisyo sa bawat Filipino.

“Because the more people LANDBANK reaches, the more support it extends, and the more unbanked individuals it onboards in the financial system—the more Filipino lives are being secured and transformed,” ayon sa Finance Chief.

“And each Filipino’s success and progress contributes to the nation’s growth and prosperity. Ang pag-asenso ng bawat Juan de la Cruz, maliit man o malaki, ay tiyak na pag-asenso rin ng Pilipinas,” dagdag pa niya.

Nagpasalamat din si Secretary Recto sa lahat ng awardees para magsilbing role models ng susunod na henerasyon ng Bagong Filipino.

“Your work and contributions send a powerful message—that we can put an end to poverty not by looking out only for ourselves, but by working hand in hand together,” saad niya.

Pinuri rin ni Secretary Recto ang LANDBANK sa pagtamo ng makasaysayang record sa pamamagitan ng pag-remit ng P32.12 bilyon sa cash dividends sa national treasury noong nakaraang Abril – ang pinakamataas sa government-owned and controlled corporations (GOCCs) at sa kasaysayan ng bangko.
