Labor leader Alan Tanjusay bagong DSWD undersecretary

ITINALAGA ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. si labor leader at Trade Union Congress of the Philippines (TUCP) spokesperson Alan Tanjusay bilang Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) undersecretary.

“I am grateful to President Marcos for allowing me to serve one of our vulnerable sector in another capacity in particular the rebel returnees, their families, the conflict-affected and vulnerable indigenous peoples’  communities  including the women and children in geographically isolated areas. I am honored to oversee and to further implement government caring services and targeted programs uniquely prepared by our driven DSWD officers and staff for these vulnerable sectors,” saad ni Tanjusay.

“Of course, I am eager to be working under an ardent boss and resolute DSWD Secretary Erwin Tulfo along with highly professional men and women of DSWD family,” dagdag pa nito.

Bilang undersecretary for inclusive and sustainable peace, pangangasiwaan ni Tanjusay ang mga programa para sa paghahatid ng welfare services sa mga dating miyembro at pamilya ng mga rebelde.

Gayundin ang mga conflict-affected sector gaya ng mga katutubo, kababaihan at kabataan sa mga lugar sa bansa na hindi pa naabot ng serbisyo ng pamahalaan.

Layon ng bagong commitment na ito ng Marcos administration na hikayatin ang mga naghihimagsik sa gobyerno na magbalik-loob sa gobyerno at makipagtulungan sa pagpapalakas ng bansa.

Bago nakilala sa kaniyang adbokasiya para sa kapakanan ng mga manggagawa, labinlimang taong naging mamamahayag o journalist si Tanjusay.

Pagkatapos nito ay kinuha na siya bilang tagapagsalita ng pinakamalaking federation ng labor union, ang Associated Labor Unions (ALU) at ng labor center na TUCP na kaniyang hinawakan sa loob ng labindalawang taon.
