IVERMECTIN ‘WAG GAMITIN SA COVID-19 PATIENTS – WHO

NAGPAALALA ang World Health Organization na hindi dapat gamitin na panggamot ang ivermectin sa coronavirus patients.

Itinuturing kasi ng ilan sa social media na COVID-19 “miracle cure” ang ivermectin.

Sinabi ng UN health na ito ay mayroong “very low certainty of evidence” sa mortalidad, hospital admission, at pagtatanggal ng virus.

 “We recommend not to use ivermectin in patients with COVID-19 except in the context of a clinical trial.”

“This recommendation applies to patients with any disease severity and any duration of symptoms,” saad pa ng WHO.

“We currently lack persuasive evidence of a mechanism of action for ivermectin in COVID-19, and any observed clinical benefit would be unexplained.” “The effects of ivermectin on mortality, mechanical ventilation, hospital admission, duration of hospitalization and viral clearance remain uncertain because of very low certainty of evidence addressing each of these outcomes,” dagdag pa ng pamunuan.
