Dapat magkusa na ang mga barangay officials in severely-hit areas in Catanduanes & Albay badly hit by the typhoon na agarang mag-apply ng cash for work program para magkaroon ng income ang kanyang mga apektadong constituents

The Department of Labor and Employment is going to provide cash assistance to barangay areas badly damaged by the typhoon through its cash for work program the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program. 

Under the program, bibigyan ng regional minimum wage ang mga magtatrabaho na tinukoy ng barangay officials sa community gaya ng paglilinis ng mga kalat dulot ng bagyo, paglilinis ng mga estero, repair ng mga public facilities at iba pa. 

The work can last from 10 days to 30 days depende sa trabaho na naidentify ng barangay officials. Malaking tulong para sa mga nasalanta ang kikitain thru the program. 

The barangay chairman must immediately organize residents, identify the work to be done in the community and immediately apply for TUPAD cash for work program sa DOLE regional office para mabilis ang approval.
