Face shield, gagawing mandatory sa pampublikong sasakyan simula Agosto 15

POSIBLENG maging mandatory na ang pagsusuot ng face shield sa mga pampublikong sasakyan upang mapigilan ang pagkalat ng coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Sa Memorandum circular na inilabas ng DOTR, inatasan ni Sec. Arthur Tugade ang mga pinuno ng iba’t ibang DOTR agencies na inanunisyo ang mandatory use ng face shield at face mask.

“The initiative aims to further reduce the risk of transmitting the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in public transport facilities as health authorities have pointed out that the use of face shields and masks reduces exposure to and emission of respiratory droplets considerably,” the DOTr said.

Magsisimula raw iyan sa Agosto 15 pero paliwanag ni DOTr Assistant Secretary Goddes Hope Libiran na internal memorandum pa lamang ang naturang dokumento, tatalakayin pa raw ito kasama ang Inter-Agency Task Force.

Una ng sinabi ni Department of Trade and Industry Sec. Ramon M. Lopez na pinag-aaralan ng gobyerno ng gawing mandatory ang pagsusuot ng face shield sa pampublikong lugar.

Samantala sa Cainta, Rizal  inaprubahan na Mayor Kit Nieto ang ordinasa na magsuot ng face shield ang mga pupunta sa pumpubliko at pribadong establisyimento.
