EKONOMIYA NG ‘PINAS LALAGO NG 5.6 PERCENT NGAYONG 2023

TINATAYA ng Organisation for Economic and Development (OED) na lalago ang ekonomiya ng Pilipinas ng 5.6 percent ngayong taon.

“A key growth driver in the second half of 2023 will be a strong rebound in government spending, from its 7.1 percent contraction in the recent quarter, executed through catch-up plans and frontloading of programs and projects,” ayon sa OECD sa Economic Outlook for Southeast Asia, China, and India 2023 Update nito na inilabas ngayong araw. Ang pinakahuling projection ay bahagyang mas mababa sa 5.7 porsyento na naunang pagtataya ng OECD.

Gayunpaman, ang Pilipinas ang may pinakamataas na economic growth projection sa mga miyembrong bansa sa Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN-5).

Na-forecast din ng OECD na lalago ang ekonomiya ng Indonesia sa 4.7 percent, Malaysia sa 3.9 percent, Thailand sa 2.8 percent at Vietnam sa 4.9 percent.
