NAGSIMULA nang mag-print ng balota ang Commission on Elections (Comelec) na gagamitin para sa paparating na midterm elections at kauna-unahang parliamentary polls sa Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) sa Mayo 12.
Ang proseso — na inobserabahan nina Comelec chairman George Erwin Garcia, mga kinatawan ng mga election watchdog, at South Korean election service provider na Miru — ay nagsimula sa National Printing Office sa Quezon City.
“For us in the Comelec, in the National Printing Office, and Miru, this is the point where we have no choice but to proceed with the elections,” ayon kay Garcia sa isang press conference matapos ang opisyal na pagsisimula ng pag-imprenta ng balota.
