CDC NAGSAGAWA NG TRAINING PARA SA CACAO FARMERS

CLARK FREEPORT – Natapos kamakailan lang ng 25 cacao farmers mula sa mga komunidad na malapit sa Freeport na ito ang Clark Development Corporation’s (CDC) livelihood workship sa cacao processing at packaging sa Clark Skills and Training Center.

Pisikal na dumalo ang 15 farmers sa nasabing event habang sampung iba pa mula sa Munisipalidad ng Bamban, Tarlac ang sumali virtually. Inorganisa ang nasabing aktibidad ng CDC-Corporate Social Responsibility and Placement Division (CSRPD).

Pinangasiwaan ni JCG Marketing Group Inc. Techinical Sales Representative and Godel Chocolate Trainor Al Quin Santillilam kasama ang Cacao farmer at Trainor Angelito Manuel ang workshop para sa mga attendees.

Samantala, nasilbi namang guest speaker si Malagos Agri-ventures Corporation cacao farmer and chocolate maker Rex Victor Puentespina at ibinahagi ang kanyang kaalaman at kadalubhasaan sa paggawa ng cacao.

Sa naturang event, ipinarating ni CDC Chief-of-Staff for the Office of the President Dennis C. Legaspi ang mensahe ni CDC President and CEO Manuel R. Gaerlan sa mga partisipante. “This training, for example, is an integral part of an overall chocolate master plan which is seen to bring benefits to small farmers by giving them the opportunity to participate in Clark’s economic activities,” aniya.

Lumahok din virtually para saksihan ang event nina Department of Agriculture (DA) Region 3 Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division Chief Fernando Lorenzo, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Aurora OIC Provincial Director Aldrin Veneracion, and Department of Agriculture (DA) Technical Staff for High-Value Commercial Crops Development Program Rosalee Leander, representatives mula sa Local Government Units (LGUs), at iba pang ahensiya ng gobyerno.

Kamakailan lang, umabot sa 1854 kilograms ng dry cocao beans ang na-produce sa iba’t ibang lugar sa Bambam sa loob lamang ng first quarter.

Nagpahayag naman ng malugod na pasasalamat ang Municipal Agriculture ng Bambam, Tarlac sa CDC sa patuloy nitong pagsuporta sa kanilang local farmers.
