Cambodia SEAG ‘23 Torch Relay lpinarada na sa Tagaytay 

MANINGNING at piyestang  selebrasyon ng Southeast Asian Games ang nasaksihan sa Tagaytay City sa malamig na umaga ng Lunes kahapon kung saan ang mga atlleta, sports at foreign dignitaries ay nakibahagi sa pagselebra ng Torch Relay for Cambodia’s hosting ng Games’ 32nd edition sa Mayo.

Mula kay Cambodia Tourism Minister Hor Sarun hanggang kay Cambodian Ambassador to the Philippines Phan Peuv, ang  torch ay ipinasa kay Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) President Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino, na kasalukuyang alkalde ng Lungsod Tagaytay na naghost noong 2019 ng cycling at skateboarding competitions ng 30th SEA Games.

“We warmly welcome the SEA Games Torch which is now celebrating Cambodia’s first-time hosting of the games,” wika ni Tolentino . “Just like in our SEA Games hosting in 2019, we value this celebration not only for sports but for peace and camaraderie in the region.”

Ang Torch Relay ay nagsimula sa De los Reyes Avenue sa harap ng  Tagaytay City BMX and Skate Park, tumuloy sa  Mahogany Road at balik sa Start/Finish area via Isaac Tolentino Avenue.

Ang mga atleta sa cycling, taekwondo, football, kickboxing at boxing ang nagdala ng simbolikong sulo 

Si Chito Loyzaga, Team Philippines’ chef de mission to the Cambodia SEA Games, ang nag-relay sa penultimate 14th station bago kinumpleto ng Cambodian delegation ang seremonya. “Everybody will be competing for medal, but that’s secondary. Building friendship among Southeast Asian nations is the primary objective of the Games,” ani pa Tolentino.
