CAAP nag-isyu ng NOTAM kaugnay sa rocket activity ng China

Nag-isyu ang Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) ng notices to airmen (NOTAMs) matapos ang napaulat na rocket launch ng China.

Ayon kay CAAP spokesman Eric Apolonio, nagsimula ang Long March 7 rocket launch nitong Miyerkules, Mayo 10 ng alas-9:22 ng gabi at inisyu ang naturang notice sa mga lugar kung saan maaaring bumagsak ang rocket debris.

 “Consequently, the CAAP issued NOTAMs B1624/23  effective May 10 from 9:14 p.m. to 9:52 p.m. B1626/23 effective May 10 from 9:15 p.m. to 9:56 p.m. and B1628/23 effective May 10 from 9:15 p.m. to 10:02 p.m. for aerospace flight activities, advising the closure of several area navigation (RNAV) routes in preparation for possible debris drops from the rocket launch,” saad niya.

Saklaw ng area of concern ng NOTAM ang drop zones na tinatayang 65 hanggang 79 kilometers mula sa Bajo de Masinloc na kilala bilang Scarborough Shoal.


“Though the debris from the rocket launch will unlikely fall on inhabited land, they may still pose danger to aircraft and seacraft,” dagdag ni Apolonio.

Naberipika umano ang debris drop zones sa pamamagitan ng notice mula sa Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) at natukoy ang mga lokasyon nito sa pakikipag-ugnayan sa Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA). ARSENIO TAN
