Bus company ipinatawag ng LTO dahil sa smoke belching violation

Ipinatawag ng Land Transportation Office (LTO) ang registered owner ng isang pampasaherong bus na inireklamo sa ahensiya dahil sa umano’y paglabag sa smoke belching.

Ayon kay LTO Chief, Assistant Secretary Atty. Vigor Mendoza II, naglabas na rin sila ng Show Cause Order (SCO) sa kompanya na nagmamay-ari ng bus na may license plate na ABG 4240 base sa reklamo ng concerned citizen.

“HIndi po tayo tumitigil sa paghuli ng mga violations ng smoke belching. Kaya nga nagpapasalamat tayo sa mga concerned citizens na tinutulungan ang inyong LTO para ma-identify and mapanagot ang mga violators,” ani Asec Mendoza. “We encourage our netizens to report to us all the abuses on the road and other violations and we assure them that we will take care of the rest. Kailangan lang ay magbigay ng proof gaya ng photo para mapabilis ang investigation,” dagdag niya.

Base sa SCO na inilabas ni LTO- Intelligence and Investigation Division chief Renante Melitante, inatasan ang kompanya na nagmamay-ari ng bus na ipaliwanag sa pamamagitan ng sulat kung bakit hindi sila dapat parusahan.

Inutusan na rin ang kompanya na dahil ang bus sa LTO North Motor Vehicle Inspection Center (NMVIC), LTO East Avenue Quezon City o sa LTO South Motor Vehicle Inspection Center (SMVIC), LTO SMVIC Compound, Brgy 191, Domestic Road, Pasay City para sa motor vehicle inspection.|

Ayon kay Asec Mendoza ang ganitong kautusan para sa inspeksyon ay alinsunod sa Section 4 (6), Creation of the Commission of Republic Act 4136, o ang  “Land Transportation and Traffic Code.

Mababasa rito na: *(6) The Commissioner of Land Transportation or his deputies may at any time examine and inspect any motor vehicle to determine whether such motor vehicle is registered, or is unsightly, unsafe, overloaded, improperly marked or equipped, or otherwise unfit to be operated because of possible excessive damage to highways, bridges and/or culverts.”
