BI IPO-PROMOTE ANG MGA EMPLEYADO NA NAPASABAK SA PANDEMYA

Dahil sa health at safety protocols sa lugar dulot ng coronavirus outbreak, nakahanap ng paraan ang hepe ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) upang mapanatiling matatag ang kanilang mga empleyado.

Ayon kay BI Commissioner Jaime Morente, hindi hadlang ang pandemya para sa improvement ng kanyang mga tauhan.

“Keeping our personnel engaged has a wide-range impact on their productivity and morale. In this time of uncertainty and disruption, it is crucial to keep our frontliners mentally and physically healthy,” wika ni Morente.

Ibinahagi rin ni Morente na 33 BI personnel ang sumailalim sa dalawang buwan na Military Orientation Training (MOT) noong Hunyo na isinagawa ng Philippine Air Force (PAF) sa Headquarters ng 1^st Reserve Center sa Villamor Airbase, Pasay City.

Nagsisilbi na ngayon ang 33 bilang pioneer batch ng BI’s 1^st Intelligence Security Wing Reserve ng PAF.

Ayon kay Morente, ang BI ay isang affiliate reserve unit ng Armed Forces of the Philippines ( AFP) kung saan tinitiyak na hindi basta-basta masisira ang paghahatid ng serbisyo sa mga borders sa pamahon ng public emergency.

“This training not only teaches discipline and perseverance, but also underscores the value of patriotism to our employees,” dagdag ni Morente.

Samantala, ibinahagi pa ni Morente na sumasailalim din ang mga miyembro ng Travel Control and Enforcement Unit (TCEU) sa TCEU Enhanced Academic Module (TEAM, isang two-month long online training na idinesenyo ng BI’s Center for Training and Research (CTR) upang mapalakas ang skills integral sa pagsasagawa ng secondary inspection sa international ports.

“30 TCEU officers are set to complete a total of 128 training hours by the end of August,” saad niya.

Sinabi pa ni Morente na bukod sa karaniwang skills development lectures, makatatanggap din ang mga officer ng Intergrity, Transparency, and Accountability in Public Service (ITAPS) workshop, isa ang major corruption prevention program na pinangangasiwaan ng Office of the Ombudsman.

Ayon kay Morente, ito ay bahagu ng patuloy na pagsisikap ng ahensiya upang mabura ang korapsyon sa kanilang ahensiya at mapaunlad ang kanilang serbisyo sa mga biyahero.

Makatatanggap din ang mga miyembro ng TCEU ng mental health lectures kabilang ang Behavioral Analysis and Anger and Stress Management mula sa Philippine General Hospital (UP-PGH).

“We are thankful for the support of our partner government agencies in giving lectures that adhere with the changing times. We want our officers to be fully prepared in the field during emergency situations,” pasalamat ni Morente.

Iniulat din ng BI’s CTR na 99 immigration officers ang sasalang din sa mahigit 3 buwan na training. Habang karamihan sa training ay isasagawa sa online, ang bagong batch na mananatili sa bubble sa Philippine Immigration Academy bago ang deployment. Inaasahan na isasagawa ang nasabing training sa Agosto at ang panibagong batch ng officer ay inaasahan ide-deploy kaagad sa paliparan pagkatapos.  “We are anticipating the gradual easing of travel restrictions in the country, given our aggressive vaccination campaign, hence the need to beef up our manpower to be able to serve the traveling public,” wika ni Morente.
