BEST PH FIGHTING TEAM ANG SASABAK SA CAMBODIA SEAG – ‘BAMBOL’

IPINAHAYAG ni Philippine Olympic Committee president Abraham ‘Bambol’ Tolentino na nasa kabuuang 814 na altleta ng bansa ang isasabak sa 32nd Southeast Asian Games na nakatakda sa Mayo 5-16, 2023 sa Cambodia.

“It’s again a fighting team and the goal is to send the best full contingent as possible,” pahayag ni (Tagaytay City Mayor) Tolentino matapos ang idinaos na ikalawang consultative meeting ng SEAG- bound national sports associations sa Pasay City kamakalawa.

Unang nakipagpulong sa POC ang mga NSA’s sa combat sports at martial arts sa unang yugto na sinundan ng mga nasa sport na ballgames at iba pang larangan.

Dumalo rin sa dalawang bahaging pagpupulong sina baseball chief Chito Loyzaga,appointed 32nd SEAG  Chef de Mission ng Team Philippines at deputies na sina sambo head Paolo Tancontian at national coach Len Escollante ng Philippine Canoe Kayak Dragonboat Federation.

Kabuuuang 608 gintong medalya ang pagtutunggalian sa 49 sports sa naturang biennial meet sa Cambodia. Ang entry ng Pilipinas sa arnis ay 12, sa athletics ay 47, aguatics (39), badminton (16), basketball (32), bodybuilding(15), billiards(12), boxing (11), dancesports (12), e-sports (45), fencing (24),fin swimming (9), aerobics and artistic gymnastics (13), jetski (8), obstacle sports (21), sailing (8), triathlon (10), diving (2), cycling (28), weightlifting (14), water polo (26), cricket(15),  floorball (40), football (46), golf (7), hockey (24), petanque(16), soft tennis (12), sepak takraw (22), table tennis (10), tennis(12), volleyball (28), beach volleyball (16), jiujitsu (6), judo (10), karate (19), kickboxing (12), kun bokator (9), muay (14), pencak silat (17), taekwondo (25), vovinam (28), wrestling (18) at wushu (20).
