Ateneo football player Alyana Bautista, pumanaw sa edad na 17 dahil sa COVID-19

Pumanaw ang Ateneo UAAP football player na si Alyana Bautista sa edad na 17 dahil COVID-19. Ang malungkot na pangyayari ay iniulat ng kanyang kapatid sa Facebook account nito.

Ayon kay Martie, na member din ng national team at commentator ng larong football, natuklasang may rare inflammatory disease ang kanyang nakababatang kapatid.

Ito aniya ay Acute Disseminated Encephalomyelitis (ADEM). Nagkaroon ng komplikasyon ito kay Alyana nang magpositibo ito sa COVID-19. Ang sakit na ADEM ay nakaaapekto sa spinal cord at sa utak ng isang tao.

 “These past few months have been difficult for Yana,”  ani Martie.

“She was diagnosed with ADEM that was further complicated by COVID-19. Many challenges continued to surface where much of them left us extremely exhausted – especially for my little sister.”

“Yana had a lot of things planned out for this year. She had high hopes booting up for Ateneo as she was expecting to come in as a freshman this August,” ani Martie .

Si Alyana ay naging player ng Ateneo pagkatapos maglaro nito ng football sa Mirim College noong high school.
