AMBUSH SA BASILAN; 2 SUNDALO DEDO, 1 SUGATAN

NASAWI ang dalawang sundalo habang isa ang nasugatan matapos i-ambush ng mga hindi pa nakikilalang salarin sa Barangay Lahi Lahi, Tuburan, Basilan nitong Biyernes.

Ang mga biktima ay pawang mga miyembro ng 18^th Infantry Battalion ng Philippine Army.

Ayon sa ulat, bumibiyahe ang nasabing mga biktima lulan ng dalawang motorsiklo mula Dugaa Patrol Base patungo sa Charlie Company Command Post nang tambangan sila.

“The 18th Infantry Battalion mourns the loss of these brave soldiers, who were victims of this senseless violence while executing their duty to serve and protect the nation. Their sacrifice and unwavering dedication will not be forgotten,” ayon sa statement ng 18th IB.

“The unit is committed to providing the necessary assistance and care to the grieving families. Furthermore, the Battalion wishes the wounded personnel a swift and complete recovery.”

Nagsasagawa ang tropa ng gobyerno ng operasyon para mahuli ang mga salarin.

“The 18th Infantry Battalion is committed to bringing these individuals to justice and ensuring they are held fully accountable for their actions. The pursuit will not cease until justice is served,” ayon sa 18th IB.
