Ganito inilarawan ni Deputy Minority leader at ACT Teachers partylist Rep. France Castro ang development ng stateside cases laban kay Kingdom of Jesus Christ, The Name Above Every Name (KOJC) church leader, Pastor Apollo Quiboloy.
Ngayong araw, napaulat na kontrolado na ng Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) ng US Department of Treasury ang lahat ng kayamanan ni Quiboloy matapos patawan ng sanction dahil umano sa korapsyon at paglabag sa karapatang pantao, partikular ang puwersahan nitong pakikipagtalik sa kanyang mga batang miyembro.
“This is a good development and we hope that this would serve as a signal to local authorities to also look into the illegal activities of Pastor Quiboloy here. Wala dapat sacred cow dito,” ayon kay Castro na miyembro ng Makabayan bloc.
“The franchise of Sonshine Media Network International (SMNI) should also be looked in to as it serves as a mouthpiece for Quiboloy who is wanted for child rape,” dagdag pa niya.
“This is good news during Human Rights Day and we hope that other human rights violators would be hold to account in the coming days,” pagpapatuloy pa ni Castro.
Umaasa rin ito na muling isaalang-alang ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) ang agreement nito sa SMNI, base sa mga alegasyon laban kay Quiboloy.
Sa kasalukuyan ay kabilang si Quiboloy sa Wanted List ng Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) dahil sa mga kasong “Conspiracy to Engage in Sex Trafficking by Force, Fraud and Coercion, and Sex Trafficking of Children; Sex Trafficking by Force, Fraud, and Coercion; Conspiracy; at Bulk Cash Smuggling.”
Samantala, sa isang post sa Twitter, sinabi ng legal counsel ng KOJC na si atty. Ferdinand Topacio na dapat mahiya sa kanilang sarili ang mga Amerikano dahil kinastigo ng kanilang pamahalaan si Quiboloy sa kabila ng kakulangan ng ‘due process.’
