PINAGBABAWAL pa rin ang mga sundalo na gumamit ng Tiktok dahil sa posibilidad na paglalagay sa panganib sa cybersecurity.
Ayon kay AFP spokesperson, Col. Francel Margareth Padilla, higit isang taon na ngayon ipinagbabawal ang nasabing social media app sa mga sundalo, pero kailangan pa rin nila itong ipaalala sapagkat mayroong “listening” capabilities ang TikTok at iba pang social media apps.
“Sa AFP, banned po siya. So we are not allowed to use TikTok. For one, because it’s an application made by China but is not used by China. So that in itself, we say go figure,”ani Padilla sa programang The Howie Severino Podcast.
“Not just Tiktok, but the free apps that we have in our gadgets, they have the capability to turn on our microphones, to look at us and watch us while we sleep and turn on our cameras, access our SMS sent messages to our contacts because we gave them permission when we downloaded these applications,” dagdag pa niya.
