NASA 546 persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) at 68 na mga tauhan ng Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP)-Navotas ang sumailalim sa random drug testing ayon sa utos ni Mayor John Rey Tiangco.
Sinabi ni Tiangco na iniutos niya ang urine test kasunod ng ulat ng mamamayan, sa pamamagitan ng Text JRT, na may nagbebenta ng ilegal na droga sa loob ng kulungan.
“Four old PDLs tested positive for marijuana and three new ones had traces of the said drug in their urine. They will be transferred to another facility and may face legal repercussions,” ani Tiangco.
Samantala, ang lahat ng mga tauhan ng BJMP na dumaan sa pagsusuri ay nagnegatibo naman sa droga.
“We have requested for further investigation on this matter. We will always strive to keep our jail facility and Navotas drug-free,” dagdag ni Tiangco.
