Inihayag President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. na makikipagpulong siya kay Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi, na darating sa Maynila ngayong gabi para sa dalawang araw na official visit.
Inaasahan na pag-uusapan nila ang mga paraan upang mapaganda ang relasyon ng Pilipinas at China, guyundin ang pagpapalawig sa kanilang bilateral relations, ayon kay Marcos sa press briefing na isinagawa sa Malacañang.
“The agenda, I am sure, will be to strengthen ties between China and the Philippines, and to find ways to resolve the conflicts that we have. One of the ways that I have consistently suggested is that we have our relationship not only on one dimension, yun lang yung West Philippine Sea,” ayon sa Pangulo.
“Let’s add to that. Let’s have cultural exchanges, educational exchanges, even military if that will be useful. Of course, the (government-to-government) has always been there. The private sector, joint ventures have also been there. I think that the more we do of that the more it will help resolve the issues,” dagdag pa nito.
