76 TAUHAN NG NBI NA-PROMOTE

Na-promote at na-reclassify ang 76 special investigators bilang special agents ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).

Ayon sa NBI, mula sa SI III o Salary Grade 18 ay naging Investigation Agent III o Salary Grade 22 na isang milestone sa kasaysayan ng ahensya.

Sinabi ni Santiago na sa ilalim ng NBI Modernization law, kapag ang isang SI ay nagretiro, ang item ay ituturing na dissolved.

“Iyon ang dahilan kung bakit ako humiling at nakiusap na ang mga SI na ito ay i-reclassify sa Agent III, at inaprubahan ng Department of Budget and Managment (DBM) at Civil Service Commission (CSC) ang kahlingan,” ayon kay Santiago.

Ang reclassification, retroactive hanggang Hulyo 1, 2024, alinsunod sa Section 3 ng Republic Act No. 10867 (National Bureau of Investigation Reorganization and Modernization Act). Alinsunod dito, ang mga ahente ay tatanggap ng back wages.

“The reclassification of the Agents will provide more quality service to the Filipino people, improve their performance in the solution of crime, and raise the bar of competency in the field of law enforcement,” sabi pa ng Director. (ARSENIO TAN)
