5,500 BPO WORKERS BABAKUNAHAN SA QC

Sisimulan ng bakunahan ng lokal na pamahalaang Lungsod ng Quezon City ang mga empleyado ng BPO companies.

Aabot sa 5,500 workers mula sa Information Technology and Business Process Management (IT-BPM) ang nakatanggap na ng kanilang unang bakuna, dahil sa pinalawak ng #QCProtektado program.

“We signed a memorandum of agreement stipulating our collaborative effort to facilitate and expedite the vaccination process of their employees. We’re happy to have finally gotten the ball rolling given the fresh vaccine supply we recently received from the national government,” saad ni Mayor Joy Belmonte. 

Lumagda sa kasundian ang QC government kasama ang Contact Center Association of the Philippines (CCAP), Healthcare Information Management Association of the Philippines (HIMAP) at ang IT and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP) noong Mayo.

Sa napagkasunduan, magbibigay ang industry groups ng kanilang sariling medical teams upang mabakunahan ang kanilang mga empleyado habang ang mga bakuna ay manggagaling sa alokasyon ng lokal na pamahalaan.

Tutulong din ang nasabing medical teams na mabakunahan ang iba pang priority individuals mula sa kalapit na mga barangay na nakarehistro sa pamamagitan ng QC Vax Easy website.

Ayon kay Business Permits and Licensing Department (BPLD) Head Margie Santos, ginanap ang bakunahan ng first batch sa SM City North EDSA Skydome noong Hulyo 21 at upagpapatuloy hanggang Agosto 3.

“We recognize the invaluable contribution of our workers from the IT-BPM sector to our local economy. They’re among the essential frontliners of our city. There’s no reason to delay this well-deserved service to them,” said Santos. 

Target ng siyudad na mabakunahan ang 67,000 industry workers nito.
