Nakumpleto ng NU Lady Bulldogs ang sweep sa UAAP Season 84 women’s tournament. Nalambat din ng NU ang titulo sa finals kontra La Salle Lady Spikers. Naghintay ng 65 taon ang Lady Bulldogs bago patirin ang uhaw sa kampeonato.
Tinapos ng undefeated team ang Lady Spikers sa Game 2, 25-15, 25-15, 25-22 sa best-of-three title series.
“We are super happy because everything that we went through in training was all erased,” ani NU captain Cess Robles.
“All our tiredness and exhaustion were erased.”
Nakumpleto rin ng NU ang perfect 16-0 game season. Kasabay ng pagsakmal sa unang title matapos ang 65 taon. Una nilang sinakmal ang unang title noong Season 19 noong 1956-57.
