CUSTOMS CHIEF, ILANG PANG DA EXECS KONEKTADO SA AGRICULTURAL SMUGGLING

TINUKOY si Customs Commissioner Rey Guerrero at iba pang mga opisyales ng  Customs at Agricultural bilang mga umano’y protector at smuggler ng agricultural product, ayon sa inilabas na report ng Senate Committee of the Whole.

Ang 63-page document kaugnay sa imbestigasyon sa umano’y paglaganap ng smuggled na gulay sa bansa ay nilagdaan ng 17 senador.

Pinangalanan sa report ang 22 opisyal na sangkot umano sa smuggling base sa intelligence report na natanggap ni Senate President Vicente Sotto noong May 17, 2022 na may lamang “validated list’ ng mga sangkot sa ilegal na importasyon ng agricultural products sa bansa.

Sila ay sina:

-Bureau of Customs chief Rey Leonardo Guerrero
-Department of Agriculture Undersecretary Ariel Cayanan
-Customs Deputy Commissioner for Intelligence Group Raniel Ramiro
-Customs Deputy Commissioner Vener Baquiran of Customs Revenue Collection Monitoring Group
-Director Geofrey Tacio of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service
-Atty. Yasser Abbas of Customs Import and Assessment.
-Bureau of Plant and Industry Director George Culaste
-Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Director Eduardo Gongona
-Laarni Roxas of BPI Plant Quarantine Services Division Region 3
-Toby Tiangco who was tagged as “smuggling protector” of BFAR products
-Mayor Jun Diamante who was allegedly “playing” in port of Davao, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, and Subic
-Gerry Teves who was said to be the “number one smuggler” of meat products “playing in major ports” such as Subic, Manila International Container Port, Port of Manila, Batangas and Cebu.
-Manuel Tan who allegedly smuggles agri-fishery products and plays in Subic, Batangas, among others.
-David Tan a.k.a David Bangyan who allegedly imports in Cebu, MICP, Port of Manila, Batangas
-Jude Logarta in Cebu
-Leah Cruz a.k.a Luz Cruz and Lilia Matabang Cruz who was tagged as the “onion queen.” She was allegedly a “DA/[Santary and Phytosanitary Import Clearance] controller/manipulator” in Subic, MICP, and CDO
-Andy Chua
-George Tan
-David Bangayan
-Paul Teves
