Nanatili pa ring negatibo sa Coronavirus ang karamihan sa libo-libong tauhan ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) na nakatalaga sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
Sinabi ni BI port operations chief Grifton Medina, nag-negatibo sa COVID-19 ang nasa 998 BI personnel na nakatalaga sa NAIA batay sa resulta sa isinagawang rapid mass testing sa Terminal 3 simula nitong nakaraang buwan.
Ang 12 empleyado naman na nagpositibo sa rapid testing ay nag-negatibo sa isinagawang confirmatory test o swab test.
“At present, only 28 of the 1,026 BI personnel deployed at the airport have yet to undergo the test for the virus,” saad ni Medina sa report niya kay BI Commissioner Jaime Morente.
Dagdag pa niya na 28 empleyado mula sa 1,026 bilang ng BI personnel na naka-deploy sa paliparan ang hindi pa sumailalim sa pagsusuri.
Sa kabila ng mabuting balita, tiniyak ni Medina na ang mga BI frontliner sa paliparan ay patuloy na magdodoble-ingat at palaging sundin ang health prototcols para hindi sila mahawahan ng virus.
“We remain cognizant of the fact that until we defeat this virus our frontliners are continually exposed to the to the risk of getting infected everytime they perform their duties,” saad niya.
